Somehow, the second half of 2024 asked my creative energies to focus on other mediums than those used for nature journaling. This was largely due to being accepted into the University of Alaska Fairbanks Ethnobotany program. I seriously had forgotten just how much time and concentration deep study requires.
With our dreary, wet weather that seems to want to continue indefinitely, I have been feeling the need for a little nudge to reengage with my nature journaling practice. Just a few days back, these January Nature Journaling prompts arrived from Wild Wonder Foundation. On Sunday, I dove into the first five days and have set the intention to continue this daily practice through January. Are you, too, feeling the need for a bit of inspiration when getting outside is not calling to you right now? Please join me in having fun with these prompts.
Keep an eye open for another blog post in the near future about some upcoming nature journaling opportunities here in Seward!
